"Something that was incredibly helpful for me was just realizing how much our mind and bodies are connected and realizing that if I am in a funk mentally, I can do something about it to shift the energy and move my body, that I have more choice than I think I do."
"I enjoyed the variety of exercises throughout the course of one workshop. I felt like I walked away with a lot of new knowledge and tools – the breakdown made it easily digestible."
Inside the workshop
Education that makes everything else click. We begin by understanding the nervous system, how everything – thoughts, feelings, behaviors, symptoms and more – is connected, and what you can do for yourself (and others!)
This is where the shift happens. Experiential practices drawn from somatic experiencing, contact improvisation, breath work, Qi Gong, and beyond.
We close by landing the experience — sharing, reflecting on what shifted, distilling your personal toolkit, and mapping a clear next step so the momentum doesn’t stop when you walk out the door.
Sometimes it's not for a good reason. Sometimes it is.
This isn't about making tension, anxiety, and survival energy go away.
This is about feeling centered, grounded, finding your footing so you can be resilient and live your best life.
I'm an artist, activist and somatic coach who helps people heal from anxiety, trauma and chronic pain. I'm a certified holistic coach trained in Somatic Experiencing, and have experience with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
I've been practicing a movement form called contact improvisation since 2010 and in recent years have been teaching and facilitating alongside the Buffalo Contact Improv Collective. I love hosting events, being in nature, and riding bikes with my son.
